ANZAC

E kore rātou e koroheketia
pēnei i a tātou kua mahue nei.
e kore hoki rātou e ngoikore
ahakoa pēhea i ngā āhuatanga o te wā.
i te hekenga atu o te rā
tae noa ki te aranga mai i te ata
ka maumahara tonu tātou ki a rātou

ka maumahara tonu tātou ki a rātou.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

I te pānui a Ruihapounamu rāua ko Manaia i ngā pānui maumahara ki ngā hoia.

I tae mātou ki te RSA hou ki te kite i ngā taonga i reira me te rongo hoki ki ngā kōrero.
We also visited the RSA and listened and looked at the amazing things there.

I waiho ētahi putiputi maumahara ki ngā hoia kua wheturangitia
We left wreaths and remember our tupuna who fought in the war.

Ka maumahara mātou i a rātou, ka maumahara mātou i a rātou.
Lest we forget.

Taumutu

He ra tino rawa ka mahana i ngā hīhī o te ra, ka tangi hoki te riroriro.
He haerenga ki Taumutu i powhiri te whānau i a mātou ko te whare nei ko Ngāti Moki
We are visiting Taumutu today what a lovely day.

Waimarie nō mātou te rongo atu i ngā kōrero o te haukāinga.
We are very lucky to hear kōrero first hand from the whānau of Taumutu

I te hikoi mātou ki te moana he tino makariri te wai.
We have to cross a small river to get to the beach it is very cold.

Hīkaka katoa a Mahia he rawe te wai ki a ia.
Mahia love the water.

Makariri rawa a Harero.
Harero is freezing.

I te kimi a Wi i tētahi poumanu.
Wi found a piece of greenstone.

Sumner

Tā mātou haerenga ki Sumner i te huna ngā kaiārahi i ngā taonga mā mātou.
Our kaiārahi have hidden treasure for us to find in the sand.

He āhua uaua te kimi i ngā taonga. Aue!
It is quite hard find all the treasures!

He āhua makariri a Matariki engari kahore e hiahia te puta i te puna kaukau.
Even though Matariki is cold she didn't want to leave the pool!

He rawe te wāhi nei, he puna kaukau he wāhi takaro hoki.
This is a cool place to visit paddling pools and playground.

Rangimarie rāua ko Saffron.
