He wai kai, he oranga hapori.

 Tēnā koe Koka Matakiwi mō āu kōrero tino rawe

 Waikawa rāua ko Kohine

 Katahi te rangi mokopuna ko tēnei.

 Koina ā rātou mahi i mua, ā, tō ana tēnei rau tau ka noho ko te tuna tonu te tino kai. 

Ko ētahi atu kai ko ngā inanga, ko te pātiki, ko te aua me te kahawai.

Ka noho tonu ngā tangata ki a rātou papa kāinga.

 He wāhi mahi tuna o mua tēnei mō ngā whānau taketake o te takiwā.

Ko tēnei te wāhi o te tuna heke.

Me hoki atu ki te pā ka kite anō Wairewa.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

I te pānui a Ruihapounamu rāua ko Manaia i ngā pānui maumahara ki ngā hoia.

I tae mātou ki te RSA hou ki te kite i ngā taonga i reira me te rongo hoki ki ngā kōrero.

We also visited the RSA and listened and looked at the amazing things there.

I waiho ētahi putiputi maumahara ki ngā hoia kua wheturangitia

We left wreaths and remember our tupuna who fought in the war.

We are visiting Taumutu today what a lovely day.

Waimarie nō mātou te rongo atu i ngā kōrero o te haukāinga.

We are very lucky to hear kōrero first hand from the whānau of Taumutu
